I think his argument is that this is the first time remote work has gone from some sort of fringe concept to a widely accepted concept. So it's a cultural shift.
If the American middle class gets "hollowed" out, what's going to happen to the stock market?

The great threat to outsourcing is actually software itself. Either an open source library, or a no code tool or a SASS.
Also, the core problem in software is what to build and what is the right architecture, not how.
