I thought this was interesting in retrospect, now that Apple have switched to ARM on the desktop, and AWS are heavily pushing ARM on the server.
After reading the thread, Linus sounds cautiously bullish on ARM on the server space.

Or is m1 going make ARM cloud a reality?
I feel heavily towards the former for the next 3-4 years atleast because that's what I find myself doing even though I can run a Linux x86 Vm inside my Mac and cross compile fairly easily.
Would the x86 on the cloud create a chicken and the egg kind of lock-in?
