Ask HN: Can I donate to HN? If so, how?

Thanks. I shall contact you if I feel desperate enough. :D

Just because I asked this question, doesn't mean I'm rich. I just asked it out of curiosity and giving whatever I can, if I had the option.
I don't think anyone was assuming you were rich and multiple people gave you a direct answer to the actual question: It's part of Y Combinator, so it's well funded and doesn't take donations.
You could be a paying customer of some of their products. Other good ways to show appreciation: participate in good faith and follow the rules.

Why? It’s backed by Ycombinator. They’ve got plenty.

Donating to venture capitalists, that a first!
Donate to your closest hospital / food bank instead
Time ahead of us will be very challenging

I learn a lot from HN. So I feel like giving back, even if they are VC-backed.
find some projects that could use sponsorship via github sponsors or patreon or something else -- that's a far more useful way to give back
Ask HNers where they suggest you donate to do the most good.
Please, it's a personal preference where I wish to spend my money. I'm not doing it for "the greater good".
you don't learn a lot from YC, you do from HN content, they use their userbase to promote their products
we, the users, are the ones responsible of you "learning a lot" by submiting content, and reacting to it, therefore take my suggestion, since i contribute to that too, if you wish to "thank the people who make you learn a lot"
educating people, that's what i am trying to achieve, whether you understand or not, i won't stop

I'd just say that I don't have anything against anyone or any suggestion and I respect you for putting your words out. And I'm very thankful for what people do here.
But, no, HN does not take donations.
