The Linux kernel has been 2038 safe[1] since early 2020. But there's a lot of work to be done on older systems. It's amazing the date is still 15 years away, but time flies.

I've got embedded Linux systems still on the 3.x kernel that have a good chance of still being in use in 2038. We've been backporting patches where and when we can.

Oh good, all of our MySQL timestamps are INT(10) unsigned.... Good until 2106, and at least i'll be dead by that time.
