"Isn't Stripe Billing doing this?" is one of the most common questions we get at Lago (open-source billing API for product-led SaaS - YC S21).
So we decided to run a simple experiment: try to replicate Stripe Payments's pricing (2.9% + $0.30) using Stripe Billing.
Should be pretty straightforward, right?

TL;DR: Stripe probably doesn't use Stripe Billing to bill its own customers, or there must be a lot of custom development involved.
