Calibre has supported this for some time now. Calibre is also available on Linux.
What is an ASCM file? In forty plus years I've not encountered this extension.
It's a "voucher" for an epub/pdf protected by Adobe DRM.
After purchasing a book "you" get an ASCM file and use it to
a) download an encrypted file from a content server
and b) get the encryption keys protected via a PKS system.
This was cracked a few years ago and apparently Adobe/vendors never upgraded.

Wow, that sounds even worse than I imagined.
I was provided a ascm file when purchasing a ebook at Google Play.
I was able to get a refund when it turned out that there is no offici way to convert it on a Linux system.

Thanks! I needed this. My library has either ACSM or send to Kindle. So I cannot read it on my old Sony eBook reader. Until this.
