The headline is misleading. "Apple-authorised resellers" are not "Apple Stores". I now stores was written in lower case for this very purpose (to distinguish between an official Apple Store an an 'Apple store' selling Apple products as a third party, but I doubt this is clear to most people)
It's interesting to see a partnership between two companies with such different reputations for quality.
The TATA group has diverse businesses in India from Salt to Heavy industries & atleast the new cars that they produce have reputation of better quality & service than a lot of other brands.
You are probably talking about something extremely sweepingly generalistic and that too with no real points (atleast on this). There are lot of concerns of recent about MAC OS releases (discussions on HN on how long term IOS users were unhappy with the buggy OS's released)
TCS is the cash cow. Everything else is very customer focused
Tata's reputation in retail is stellar. Starbucks India is a JV with them too and is wildly successful.
