Did the NASA, Google, Intel, etc. really give their approval to have their logo used as promotional material for a gun seller in the "Where we come from" section? It really surprises me.

Those quotes are demonstorably false. The rates of gun crime do not scale with the number of guns. Why people persist in thiz false narritive beguiles me.

There is no other tool in the world that puts a 90 pound woman on equal footing with a 200 pound man. To deny people their right of self defense, or putting strange technology on top of such a right, is tantamount of tyranny.
Everyone seems to "care so much" about gun violence right up until they need a gun to defend themselves. Maybe you'll get more traction when every progressive candidate takes the first steps by disarming their bodyguards and refusing to wear body armor. Or are these people special in that they are allowed to defend themselves because that matter more than you, your mother, your father, your wife, your daughter, or your son? They would like you to believe that though I'm sure if you searched in your heart long enough you'd come to the conclusion you matter more than they do.
The only people that benefit from a disarmed society are the elite and the politicians. A government afraid of it's people is an effective and fair government. I cannot believe people exist that trust politicians.

The Atlantic is hardly unbiased especially with regards to guns and your quoted data is demonstrably false by simply going to the FBI homicide database and watching the trendline go down below almost every other form of death since the 1960s (historically the most violent period for guns in history). Yet the gun violence in america is off the charts compared to other western nations. Just today there was yet another mass shooting in texas. Seems the dead people there weren't helped by guns after all.
Gun violence does not scale with number of guns however, which you seem to be implying.
I don't know how gun violence scales with number of guns all i can say is that the USA has an obvious problem here and no solution for it. If you look at the czech republic that also have rather liberal gun laws (for european standards) yet significantly less gun violence, it seems that the american way of guns for everyone who isn't a criminal (yet) is obviously and tragically failing.
But it's a moot point, if school children being slaughter isn't enough to pass mandatory licensing and regular background checks and mental exams for gun owners nothing will. The left only wants to ban guns, the right is blocking any progress on reducing gun violence and people get slaughtered in schools, shopping malls and on the street.
I genuinely believe that peoples are responsible for their government, especially in democracies so when it comes to gun violence it seems americans get exactly what they want. Questionable freedom in exchange for dead school children and utterly dumb gun laws. Good thing those founding fathers wrote that 2nd amendment, they sure were wise man.

I’d feel a lot better if that 90 pound woman had a license for that thing, and was required to renew it regularly, and kept it locked safely away from her young nieces and nephews, and etc
I can imagine a future where certain governments prevent people from purchasing guns without this technology. A company like this could position itself to push society towards that reality while also profiting off of it.
New Jersey had a law like this, where upon the creation of a viable smart gun all other guns would be banned for sale in the state. That pushed a lot of people away from making any smart guns. In the past few years (2019 I think) they amended that so that once a viable smart gun was introduced all dealers in the state had to carry it
That sounds horrifying and draconian.
