This is great stuff but it's best not to post lists (such as home pages of links) to HN - it's better to post one of the most interesting list elements. Otherwise there isn't enough information for the hivemind to sink its teeth into (mixed metaphor sorry) and we end up with generic, lowest-common-denominator discussion.

Anyone know if Kermit, the file transfer protocol has value today?

Interesting artifacts of engineering and history but do they also serve a practical purpose?

There are a lot of people working with single-board computers, often retro projects like z80-based systems running CP/M.

For those people using the old tools is still kinda important, and useful. For everyone else perhaps not.

Some HP calculators like the HP48SX series used Kermit as the file transfer protocol.
