The intro about imagining "half of the engineers boarding a plane telling you there is a 10% chance it will crash" is unintentionally prescient (the article was written in 2023), given the recent Boeing situation.
The recent Boeing situation is that there's literally lottery ticket odds of dying in a Boeing plane and it's still, by far, the safest form of travel. What point are you trying to make?
that patriotism cant fix a dying system?
I think I'll have some yellow ones.
I take purple spotted with lilac.
But Nothin compares
To these blue and yellow purple pills.
"Human extinction". Alarmist horseshit. "Two companies with regulatory capture deciding the truth" is the real threat, and those 10% are probably on their payroll.
> those 10% are probably on their payroll
Good thing the rest of us don't take Alan Turing seriously either, especially when there is money to be made.
