I solved it but I have no idea why. The success modal blocks the board and I can’t even see what I’ve done right. It thinks “CG” is a word? Is that correct? I don’t seem to follow what the letters are supposed to accomplish here?
Mine had “DD” as a word. I suppose that is a Linux command...
It also had “RD” and “SH”.

Fascinating game concept! As a fellow game developer currently working on an emoji memory matching game, I'm particularly interested in innovative game designs like this.
Pros: 1. Novel game mechanics - great combination of word spelling and spatial layout 2. Clean and intuitive interface, easy to get started 3. Natural drag-and-drop interaction
Suggestions: 1. Consider adding a timer/scoring system to increase competitiveness. I've implemented similar systems in my game and it definitely improves player engagement 2. Consider adding difficulty levels: - Limited space constraints - Adjustable number of letters - Word complexity tiers
If possible, I'd love to hear about your experiences in game development.

This is cool. I suggest inserting a short delay at the end of the game, before you darken the board. You can have some confetti or something that would allow someone to review their correct solution.
At the very least, there should be a close button to dismiss the dialog and go back to viewing the puzzle.
I like the idea, but I don't think today's fragment works. "ETC" isn't really a word, it's an abbreviation. "AF" also isn't a word. The "CH" down block isn't a word. The "AGO" down block is a word, I guess, but it started off as a word. The ending solution felt pretty random.
(From the console, the seed is "2024-12-09T08:00:00.005Z")

Nice idea, i had a similar one that i hope to release soon!
It worked well in ff on Android, except i did not see the final set of words in the end and share link got undefined in it:
I completed today's Fragment in 03:59. Think you can beat my time? Give it a try: https://playfragment.com/?=undefined

Very cool.
A small QOL suggestion: I too would appreciate a small delay on completion, so there's time for me to realise I've won before the game tells me I've won. Controls could be locked during this time.

Hey everyone! Thank you for the nice words and detailed feedback.
We are working to address mobile responsiveness, removing some two-letter word combos, and adding a delay to the win state.
I'll keep you updated as it progresses :)

The "How to Play" example seems to claim that IA and MB are words.
You shouldn't start the timer without explicitly pressing "Play" and then showing the puzzle! Also, it's "referral", not "refaral".
Love the idea, but on mobile the interface breaks.
When I touch the page to move the blocks my browser wants to scroll the page instead.
Using DuckDuckGo browser on android.

I had to refresh the page for the layout to work correctly on mobile Safari
Not for me on IOS.
Draggable but on loads sits in the top right corner.

Unfortunately it doesn't work on mobile Chrome on Android.
Maybe they fixed it since your comment, but it worked perfectly for me on Chrome on Android.
what was this programmed in?
It's plain JavaScript
