Probably not intentional, but the title is incomplete ("- this is how I get rid of it in minutes"). It does make the HN title incredibly funny for my twitter-rotten brain though.
The best tip I’ve ever gotten on anxiety or quenching the “butterflies in your stomach” feeling is that from a psychiatric/neurological perspective, anxiety and excitement are very close together, and you can transform momentary acute anxiety to excitement if you repeat “I’m excited” and psych yourself up for it.
This is magic. Just tried it, worked right away for me.
same, harvard-trained expert, same
same, UDel trained, this works. It's weird that you can talk to your brain. Oddly your brain can trust you.
