The AI Defense Matrix is a grid for deciding how to secure AI systems in the enterprise. Its rows name the AI system types that security teams oversee. Its columns are the functions defined in the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Practitioners can use the grid to identify coverage gaps and design a security-for-AI strategy.
After using the cyber defense matrix quite a bit, it felt obvious AI required it to evolve.
