Well have you met people? They will take the savings and cheap energy to buy more junk, pollute more and waste more.
Its called the rebound effect. Individual actions dont solve system wide problems. Got to push people to be more responsible or the majority wont.

People can switch to electric cars, heat pumps, induction stoves. They can plan consumption during peak productivity, keeping emergency power in EV and wipe off their entire electricity bill.
