I thought it rather odd that Pakistan International Airlines would make their software open-source, so I clicked on the link and found out that PIA was something else entirely. Every time this happens to me I think of Ted Nelson. Sigh.
Yes. Its crap, but telling them so will achieve nothing (management obviously think its wonderful).
I'd love to know whose idea it was, though.
Maybe next time you could try congratulating them on "clever self-disruption of a successful product" or something similar to draw them out into the open.
