What I personally learned? Never trust any hardware manufacture for anything other than security theater.

Your comment does a wonderful job explaining our current situation and I will share this with people who are less tech security conscience.

Israel sure does siphon off intel with all their companies, but it's not strictly limited to just them though.

Also it's definitely not slander, they always just seem to get pissy anytime one calls them out.

A backdoor is never a solution. It can, and will, always be abused. Furthermore, warrants are also trivially abused which I have seen done first hand.

Agreed. Even with GPG/PGP it only goes so far and leaves plenty of metadata in the clear.

If we could source a single disposable virtual Swiss number we could all use it, if the service doesn't ban the number after so many uses. I'll be sure to update if I find one, everything I've seen is stale.

Does anyone know of a free disposable SMS site which has Swiss phone number? I would really like one of these email addresses but don't have a Swiss number and they are forcing this privacy-hostile restriction on us.

While I'm very grateful for the research that Mullvad has done to reassure us that VPN's can still be effective and work as normal, it's still a serious enough issue for me not to "upgrade" to Big Sur. Especially after reading about the Little Snitch fiasco as well. Both tools are essential for a proper internet experience.

While it's true that people who need privacy don't typically use closed source software that spies like OSX, but it really shouldn't have to be this way. We are paying extremely high prices for Apple hardware and I'll be damned if I can't get the most privacy oriented experience possible from it.

I was going to comment something on the lines of that, I don't have any prior experience with the technology so my question might be stupid but does the FGPA take the place of a dedicated machine like a server where it handles the loads?
