all GTK apps have the weird cursor issue on KDE if you're using scaling - I believe it's due to how GTK (and GNOME) handles fractional scaling as compared to QT (and KDE). Install the Bottles Flatpak and you'll see the same issue.

I run Fedora Kinoite full time on my primary machine, and it's great. Obviously a bit of a learning curve, but if your workflow can be achieved using Flatpaks and Toolbox, it's fine. You can (and I do) layer packages but I have only 3 or so I need to layer (asusctl, supergfxctl and asusctl-rog-gui).

My only real gripe is that Firefox still ships as an rpm in the base image. I understand that they want to include a working web browser at all costs, and I don't think they can distribute the Flatpak version with the base image, but it's annoying that I have to mess with the image (removing Firefox) to then re-install the (more up to date) Flatpak.

The rules aren't even applied right now.

"No year or dates." - 1989 by Taylor Swift

"No references to physical packaging, digital packaging, or retailers (for example, vinyl or CD)." - Yeezus by Kanye West

Can we also acknowledge that Apple says that you must use a Payment Service Provider that also supports Apple Pay?

"Your PSP will need to offer the following:[...] - Broad payment support including cards, iDEAL, and Apple Pay."

This just seems evil.

In my experience, it's been pretty okay. Not amazing, but I can't really complain.

I've got 2 HomePods in a small apartment, and they typically work okay in what I need them to do, and automatons always work.

I sometimes have to close the app and open it again to get devices to respond IF I'm in not on my home network. Kind of annoying.

What's funny is that I've noticed that it's been better since I bought an eero 6 and added into into Home.

Most importantly, it works for my girlfriend who isn't the most keen on new technology. That's the most important part for me, rather than what I want.

Your comments on Apple Home are factually incorrect. I have lights, cameras, smart blinds, thermostats, temperature/humidity/air quality sensors, my eero6 router and even my Roku added into Home.

Apple Wallet also supports some forms of ID, transit cards and even vaccine certificates.

This, every time. I had my iPhone 11 start to booloop back in July, literally the day after the warranty expired. Called up their support, explained the issue, and they issued me an exemption and I got a replacement for free. Not trying to be an Apple fanboy, but I don't think Samsung or Google would extend the same offer.

All new non dual-SIM iPhones have an eSIM too, so they're all technically dual SIM now.

I've had mine scanned a few times now, only when eating in. I'm in Ottawa FWIW, people seem to be doing it mostly right here. Kind of annoying that I have to show my ID too, but luckily they accept an OHIP card as ID, saves having to find my passport.
