While this is only a personal project for fun, please keep in mind that some countries, such as Germany, have strict laws about personal data. And even if they do not have those, as the developer you are always responsible for your code and the data you gather. Face recognition is a mighty and scary tool, so maybe you can use it to teach your guests in a fun way about it?
Also, many face recognition systems are based on open source datasets that are NOT balanced. This can lead to your non-white, non-male friends being not recognized ect. This is both a real problem and also to a dampened mood at your party. Have fun, but be safe and conscious about it!
People mean everything and nothing when they say they want a Data Scientist. So you inevitably will have many interviews that don't work out because you are not what they had in mind. Same goes for those questions. They don't have a clue so they don't know what to ask.
Make sure you know what you want. And of course what you can and can't do. And tell them right away. Cut your losses before a long interview process.
Find ways to talk about yourself instead of simply answering questions. Smaller companies have less rigid interview processes(but also less knowledge about what they want) where you can talk about your knowledge and interests.
On the other hand, if you want to get a job with a longer hiring process, you do need to prepare for those.
Get to know people from the field. Go to meetups ect. That gives you the chance to present yourself, too.
Evaluate what you are missing that could help you get the job you want. Decide which field, data ect you are interested in. Consider what skills you are lacking if you would do a complete project in that field. You are applying for an expensive positions, so people are wary about hiring you. They want you to sound like you got this.
At least here in Germany there is a Kikkomen soy sauce specifically labeled as gluten free. Although of course the label does not mean that it does not contain wheat.
Absolutely not okay. ADHD medication should only be taken if one has ADHD. Which can only be determined by a medical specialist. And even if you do have ADHD, you don't have to take meds. ADHD meds are often misused as drugs, so suggesting this is basically asking you to take drugs. Not okay.
If a manager has a hunch that one of their employees has an unknown medical condition they might tell them about it. If their relationship is good enough.
If, on the other hand, they notice a performance issue, they can talk about that and potential ways to fix this. Which would include a quiter workplace, more interesting tasks or an inquiry of underlying issues.
I have ADHD and would have been happy if I had been diagnosed earlier. But I became a Machine Learning engineer without diagnosis. And while meds are nice, they surely were not the end of my problems. I am glad you don't work there anymore, because the real problem there was this manager.
Can you give a study for this? And plants, no matter which, obviously have other benefits than cleaning compared to an artificial filter. Seeing nature, even on screen, boosts human health. https://environhealthprevmed.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1...
Another important factor of trees is their ability to cool down the city. Moss might not be able to provide the shade the trees offer, but they can provide a cooling effect a simple filter could not provide.
Apart from that, while trees are awesome, they take a long time to grow, and a lot of resources during that time. Moss is easier to farm and therefore can be easier to replace if it dies. And no matter how well tended a tree is: A city is a hard place for trees. And taking climate change into account, it will get even harder. Trees that were once fitting for a city might not do well there anymore. And I dont think the moss trees are supposed to exist instead of actual trees. They are instead a great way to boost a citys health next to actual trees and to fill gaps where trees are missing or have been newly planted. So why use trees and mechanical filters, when you can get trees and moss?
