I write the open-source photo editor Filmulator as a hobby.

I'm also the lead software dev on the PhobGCC hall-effect motherboard for Gamecube controllers.

Sci-Fi Author: In my book I invented the Torment Nexus as a cautionary tale.

Tech Company: At long last, we have created the Torment Nexus from classic sci-fi novel Don't Create The Torment Nexus.

At my past place Fios was excellent but I've had mixed results recently, with ping spikes and a lot of suspected traffic shaping of things like Youtube.

Service is pretty good though.

Mitosis is the layout that I like, it doesn't require a huge thumb stretch.

I consume copious amounts of cold mugicha. It's amazingly refreshing and very cheap.

We can collect income tax from children of tourists who happen to be born in the US on vacation? Great!

The fastest drag racing cars still are internal combustion. When raw speed is the goal, the torque doesn't have to be efficient, you can get it from an engine spinning away in its power band with a controlled amount of clutch or torque converter slipping.

This is still crazy from a road car though.

> Besides being cheaper, the induction motors have the advantage that if they are used only as auxiliary motors, you can cut the power supply to them at any time, in which case they will consume nothing.

EESMs have this advantage too, you can simply cut power to the field winding.

Efficiency varies according to the load and RPM.

Permanent magnet motors have higher peak efficiency but EESMs are better in non ideal conditions, particularly low torque high RPM i.e. highway cruising where efficiency is more critical than at low speeds.

Regardless, for me the CD is actually painful to listen to even at low volumes, while the vinyl is excellent.

There's compression and distortion for sure on the vinyl, but when you look at the waveform on the digital it's right up to the max. It completely changes the sound.

It's true from time to time. Low's last digital releases are actually unlistenable due to heavy-handed compression, but the vinyl seems to have been spared.

I had to record the vinyl to get usable digital files.

My LG OLED TV does have a headphone jack, and I send that through a mixer (combined with my CRT gaming setup's output, my record player, and my PC's output) to my stereo.

It's the ergonomics that I have an issue with.

I always viewed the classic scroll method as a mirror to what happens on screen.
CarVac

Speaking of "natural scrolling" it is horrible because most scrolling is downward and "natural" is an ergonomically inferior pushing action instead of pulling.

It's only natural on the actual display itself.

Anothe affront to nature by Apple, along with killing the headphone jack.

The thermistor looks like a Semitec ###NT series, if you want the exact one.

103NT H34G, I suppose?

I figured 300 megabit Fios would be enough but I think that when you cheap out, they more severely throttle places like Youtube on the backend.

The PH-0 and smaller screwdrivers from Good suppliers like iFixit or Wera are actually JIS because there's no downside.

But if you happen upon a real PH-0 it will destroy the JIS screws.
