I pay that much and don't even use Fable because everything I do involves biology

Maybe people read it as an endorsement rather than an observation. No biggy, just Internet points. Though you have apparently rescued me from -2 to +5 so thank you.

Not really. It's easy "content"for them and adds a veneer of quantitative rigor to what would otherwise be pure vibes.

I suspect a lot of this is resume driven design.

I really hope they improve their guardrails. It's useless to me in life science.

There's usually a freelancer thread too you may have better luck there

I've always instructed Claude to check the policies first, frankly I'm surprised it's not smart enough to do that already. Would be easy to add to a system prompt. But usually it doesn't matter because many projects have no policies, or maybe they exist but only in hidden forum posts issues or something.

I could barely use Fable before (I work in life science) and now they're adding more restrictions? Well good thing Opus is solid

I haven't because I'm not made of money but maybe I will

The original announcement page mentioned this. It was very obvious. That's why so many people noticed it immediately, because it was announced.

I'd love if they would include speed (though I know there are difficulties involved). At this point the quality of Opus 4.8 is no longer my limiting factor, it's the speed, so a faster model would be great.

This isn't a problem which needs to be solved perfectly, at least in this context. If some electronic music creators (using 2015 level technology) get reduced play and some fully AI music gets through the filters it's really fine.

Opus doesn't do that (at least it never has to me). I'm pretty sure codex doesn't either. It's just Fable

Current models are smart enough for me and don't present an existence risk. Good time to show down. Maybe make the models faster and cheaper while preserving performance.

People are allowed to destroy their own property. And anyway if you don't like this state of affairs blame the copyright holders and copyright law

This is like saying guns will be weaponized. The entire point of this is to be a NIMBY weapon.
