I like how it has almost become the norm to post the link to Adrian Colyers blog about any paper on Distributed Systems than a link to the paper itself. :)
For someone coming from a high(er)-level programming language like Python - who wants to learn more about how computers work - I think it would be a useful stepping to learn C. C introduces some of the concepts and techniques that you need to understand Operating Systems & lower level things like that.
This is promising news. Though I do feel that current 3d technology leaves a lot to be desired. Personally I feel the next evolution in the the realm of movie theaters would be VR.
I never said it was a good way of storing passwords. It reduces entropy. I'm just saying there is way to both have hashed password storage as well as "asking for 3 random letters of you password at login".
(I'm not complaining, I love his blog)
