US.

Here are 2017 numbers (ok...only 96% that year). https://crashstats.nhtsa.dot.gov/Api/Public/ViewPublication/...

Same author, same BS.

"one study suggests that helmet use may reduce the risk of head injury by 83%"

That one study has been thoroughly debunked...yet decades later it still gets cited.

99% of bike fatalities involve car crashes. There is no styrofoam helmet which will protect against that, and the VaTech test notably does not model that type of crash.

To my knowledge, the only group that tried to test bike helmets against a car is Volvo -- and all helmets failed.

My son took CS10 a couple years ago, and even I (Masters in EECS from UCB) struggled with some really obtuse multiple-guess questions he showed me on the homeworks. Much of the classwork is done in Snap, a weird and stupid graphical "programming" language. If 1/3 of the students are failing, that may have more to do with the professor.

Enterprise Mac still has occasional problems -- mainly due to Microsoft crapware IT departments insist on installing.

The CBOSS fiasco, which added $200 million in costs, certainly can't be blamed on Atherton.

There are some trials underway testing that hypothesis.

Nice idea, except the actual mapper site requires a google login to view.

I can find only a single paper making this claim about marathoners. And that study has attracted a lot of criticism.

By that you mean the fines should be made much higher, right? Because traffic crashes have a huge economic cost.

> they cannot use that fact against you to prove it was in fact you driving- they have to prove that independently.

5th amendment protections are much weaker for civil cases though.

IANAL but she could also have a good case that it will be impossible for her to get a fair trial.

Some potential jurors will have seen these doctored photos. With the prosecution putting out obviously false info then it calls into question their credibility and any other evidence presented at trial.
