I definitely prefer phone trees the ai agents. Something that has never made sense to me is why we even need most of the phone trees. Could they not just have separate numbers? Billing is X num. CS is Y num. Save the human species minutes for every fucking call.
I realize the decision makers have been prioritizing the opposite. Making calls take as long as possible but I have no idea what is incentivizing them to do that.
I worked on at both companies on drivers. The programming models are quite different. Both make GPUs but they were designed by different groups of people who made different decisions. For example:
Nvidia cards are much easier to program in the user mode driver. You cannot hang a Nvidia GPU with a bad memory access. You can hang the display engine with one though. At least when I was there.
You can hang an AMD GPU with a bad memory access. At least up to the Navi 3x.
Are any of the options mature enough to be a daily driver yet? It's been a while but I was not successful with switching to the pinephone when I first got it. The librem5 was still having battery issues last time I checked as well.
