I'd avoid using Japan as an example for things like this. I won't even mention the whole homogenity thing. It's the culture. Culture is the most important thing. Japanese people, or people who live in Japan, on average more likely give some shit about other people, or the overall society. Shame is also big in Japan, while not a thing at all in most Western, individualist societies. Shame alone can make a Japanese person or someone living Japan think twice about littering. Shame alone makes a Japanese salaryman clean up his own vomit off the street after spewing his guts after a long drinking night. You will never get most Americans to do anything on this level. Hell, they take pride in not giving a fuck about others.

I would love to see an experiment done with a Linux fork with the inclusive terminology changes. Do you know what porn today is like? There's so much of it and a lot of it is highly stimulating, full of interesting and unattainable-in-real-life kinks. Maybe you were exposed, but it was not likely as accessible as it is for kids/people now. Unless you have experienced the pit of despair, going through porn addiction, it's easy to think that people are going to survive it fine just like we did.
A lot of people can enjoy a healthy amount of porn and then move on from it because they were able to get a real life partner or something. Many are destroyed by it, because they have no other option and simply go downhill from there.

I am indeed sick of political bullshit. One day, you may open your eyes and properly understand that I, as much as you, want something to be done for black Americans to right the wrongs. However, I can't help but call out the people who are simply using the death of one garbage man who threatened a pregnant woman at gunpoint to further their political goals, and then only after 2 weeks, they go back to their regular reporting after they've made their use of the movement to do their job. Nothing has changed. They've just milked the death of a man, like they did before with the other men before him. One day, I'd like to see a real organic movement that will enact real change. Until then, this is just a spectacle in our current clown world.

To me, this just sounds like gatekeeping as usual. The boomer investors don't like the young blood coming in and ruining their game, and realizing how much money can be made by essentially shuffling money around on the stock market while doing nothing concretely valuable to society.

Willing to take the L for saying the truth on this one. It's politically convenient for the left to use the death of a black man (f the police) to rally up support against their opposition as the election comes up, but without that, they will happily ignore the amount of black on black killings that happens in THEIR OWN cities the rest of the year. And then they'll happily support abortion, which is an incredible suppressor of the American black population, making sure they will never grow in numbers enough to make a political difference in this forsaken country on their own and not used as pawns by either political party.
I'm sure one day you will be able to convince me that black lives matter and we will finally do something about it to make meaningful change. But it looks like today is not that day. Judging by how the protests and riots have settled down already in less than 2 weeks, they are finished making use of black lives to further their political goals. Just like the time before, and the time before that. When does it end?
