Firefox's irrelevance is why it's regulated to techies. And sure, you're free to blame Google for some of that, but let's not pretend Mozilla has always been some wellspring of user-pleasing decision making.
Personally I just find it the least aggravating browser. It doesn't suffer from the performance issues and site incompatibilities of Firefox, the bugs of Brave, nor the incessant nagging of Edge. It just gets out of my way and let's me browse.
