We built state-aware orchestration into dbt core and released it a few months back. We're making it OS today under Apache 2.0. I suspect over time this project will converge with Fusion but for now it is definitely a big upgrade vs. folks using core!
Hi there Hugo from Orchestra here - I am a data engineer by trade and always wanted a sort of "control plane" for data that in today's terminology would be described as "pipeline builder + orchestrator + observability". Obviously a big part of that is being able to run a repo of SQL code a la dbt, which we now can. So that is pretty cool and would love any feedback anyone has.

I'm building something in the space (orchestra) so here's my take:
Folks making stuff open source and building in the open is obviously brilliant, but when it comes to "orchestrators" (as this is, and identifies) there is already so much that has been before (Airflow and so on) it's quite hard to see how this actually adds anything to the space other than another option nobody is ever going to use in a commercial setting.
