> coasted to a complete stop

I’m not sure how you say that on a release that is literally about new surface hardware

So how is the blooming while editing code with a dark background?

Im also considering purchasing one of these for codework.

Until Linux has an alternative to anticheat, gaming on Windows is still king.

And until Linux implements similar abstractions in the Kernel akin to Filter Drivers in Windows, Linux will never have a proper anticheat.

I’ve found the opposite, it makes tedious tasks like looking up how a specific powershell function works, easy.

Hmm I can’t remember how to read a file into xml in powershell… ask gpt and save yourself 15 minutes

I the get the point of your comment, but the article does state that one of the proposed changes are that you can uninstall news and bing from the start menu / search.

I really hope they announce new desktop displays soon

Strongly depends on the company as well. In a big org it can take years of work at a senior level to get that title. And only if there is a “business need”.

I’ve been using Remote Desktop to a windows environment in the cloud for a while. It’s been pretty great actually. As long as you have a Bluetooth mouse an IPad makes a great thin client in a pinch.

I know people want MacOs, but it’s a workaround that works.

Host the TOS on git and allow us to view it, easy

They are all getting more expensive and all losing quality content. It is becoming increasingly hard to find a specific show I want to watch. Sometimes it’s on Netflix, other times Hulu. Sometimes something I want to watch isn’t even being streamed. It’s just massively confusing.

Shameful? Just because you dislike it doesn’t mean everyone has to.

The thing I have trouble ‘hoarding’ is tech. I don’t have a lot of it but it mounts over time. Old laptops/desktops. Gaming consoles, etc.

I feel that throwing these things away, especially the stuff with batteries, isn’t the correct way to handle it.

So I’ve kept it around meaning to do research to understand how best to get rid of it all.

Does anyone have pointers?

this is a project my girlfriend said yes to buying immediately. Until she saw the price. Its about $2250 too expensive. I know its cost and whatever. But to make this feasible for your average person it'd have to come down in cost ALOT.

Microsoft, at least, has not recalled workers at all.

Anecdotal, but I’ve never once had a driver call me once

wow this is a massive privacy violation / gdpr issue. What can we do about this?

Tangent: I used to love reddit, i would actively pay for reddit gold just to support the site. I still have a hard time moving on, but this latest fiasco has set things in stone for me. RIP Reddit.

already happened for me, I've transitioned away from Google almost entirely.

The only place I interact with google these days is my Google TV. Here's to hoping they don't drop support for that as well.
