I have been in this game for over 30 years. I haven't seen one bad backtest yet. All of them are fantastic, except they all fall apart in real trading. It is hard for me to believe anymore in any kind of "breakthroughs" in Futures Index Trading. It would be pretty hard to convince me. That said, starting with the backtest results, Sharpe, etc., would be a good idea. Publishing actual backtest trades would also be good.
