speaking of templates, I built Hacker News Git Blame https://www.hngitblame.com/ with Zero Gravity Factory https://www.zerogravityfactory.com/

The accounts all should be either a prominent tech company founder, or among the top HN posters of all time! https://news.ycombinator.com/leaders

You're totally right. Naming this was a bit difficult — was afraid of calling it something like Guess Who? in case I got sued.

Ah good point, will make it more clear that it's dang, the moderator. And will add an "HN: " tag to everyone's usernames (if available).

Hahaha yes for sure, but you can count those as free points for now. If people end up loving this project I'll think about adding obfuscation

You might've gotten a lucky roll haha, I'm currently adding more prominent community members (thanks, dang!) that should make it harder to guess. Thanks for playing though :)

Comments have brought up great points: that the commonly accepted definition of cargo-cult thinking is different from "holding unfalsifiable beliefs".

They are correct! But the reason I talk about cargo-cults is because people know what they are, and for the same reasons as Feynman in this speech: https://calteches.library.caltech.edu/51/2/CargoCult.htm

He brought up cargo cults as a way to illustrate improper scientific thinking — because the core driver of cargo-cult thinking is unfalsifiable beliefs. I appreciate the sharp reading and will be more explicit next time.
