The problem wit this argument is that they ARE consenting users, they just don't care enough to know. From the facebook sign up page "By clicking Create Account, you agree to our Terms and that you have read our Data Policy..." On the data policy they say that your data is given to third parties. The problem is that common sense has been removed from our society. You DON'T need a PHD, as another poster said, you merely need common sense.
