Yes, much like how they've regulated delivery drivers. The person listed on the app is definitely the one that delivers, very effective.

I detest the concept that we need yet another "law" before we can actual enforce anything. There are plenty of laws being broken already, we should go and prosecute them before we start making up new ones to ignore.

(London perspective), I've intervened from tourists getting scammed before from these guys, and they get violent very quickly. Especially fun because they have their gang all around.

Unlicensed, unmaintained, motorized vehicles on pedestrian paths, a miracle no one has been killed yet.

It's kind of insane, and is a microcosm of the UK's inability to do anything.

- Everyone hates them, from residents, to businesses, to the tourists that get harassed by them.

- There are multiple laws, that if the police wanted to, they could enforce at any time.

- Nothing gets done.

It is an impressive level of apathy from an already toothless government.

Well, at least something good came out of this incident.

Perfect.

As well as the childcare benefit removal others have mentioned, you also begin losing your "tax free allowance".

The marginal tax rate for 100k -> 125k is 60% (due to losing the ~£12k tax free allowance)

"Your personal allowance goes down by £1 for every £2 that your adjusted net income is above £100,000. This means your allowance is zero if your income is £125,140 or above."

Makes sense, the game is 10/10 on all counts w.r.t art (architecture, music, character design, story, modelling), but relatively poor in terms of the 'business logic' of the game (the systems for gunplay/stealth/police/levelling etc are all average/poor).

Still fun though.

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of my favorite games of all time.

It was unplayable on console, and a buggy mess on release (even on PC), but some of the acting and story telling in the game is really something else. I've been playing games for 30 years and nothing has really come close in terms of voice acting. Judy, V (both male & female VO's are great, but I prefer the female one), Keanu Reeves does his best work, and is totally at home in a melodramatic setting, all the smaller characters have proper voice actors that are more than just an after thought.

The story is interesting, there are limited, but real choices along the way, along with a plethora of non-impactful decisions, that merely change how your character interacts with the world. The world itself feels great, the architecture of the city feels real, and it's the first game that I've played that explored the vertical aspects of a city, though they definitely could've done more.

The action aspects are a little limited, surface level stuff. It's such a shame that the game wasn't given the same scope it has right now, but another year or two for polish (pun unintended...) and I think the systems in the game could be fleshed out and be much more fun.

For anyone that has moderately decent hardware, I highly recommend a play through.

EDIT: forgot about the music. Might be the best soundtrack of anything ever. Movie/TV/Game/Other.

Grossly overpaid for effort/comparison to other wages/industries.

Adequately paid for value captured (hence why companies are willing to pay for them at this rate).

Not a moral statement, but this gives more tools to those in power.

Agreed. I love that he doesn't dumb himself down but still manages to make the content relatable/understandable.

John Carmack is the perfect ultra nerd for this format. He's so good at communicating complex ideas, to the point that even less-informed people will enjoy this podcast. Dude's a hero.
