Is it literally just your codebase or a shared one?

Generally with submodules we run into issues like each dev having to maintain the setup on their own machine, and unique commands to work with module repositories.

For WAY more writeup: https://codingkilledthecat.wordpress.com/2012/04/28/why-your...

Whole tools were created to get around these issues (git-subtree for ex).

> Greater fools scheme [sic] is a valid criticism

Did you mean greater fool theory? That's not a financial scheme that's listed under Stripe's ToS (our context).

Are you arguing in good faith that Stripe should update the Prohibited Businesses section of their ToS based on what you said?

(Ask his tactics?) That's market manipulation.

It's not a pyramid scheme in any sense.

Pump-and-dump schemes fall under the "get-rich-quick" language, but I don't see what this has to do with the details of this specific announcement.

If you're asking in good faith, it's market manipulation.

In your own words, can you explain the difference between, say, a Ponzi and a pyramid scheme? Pyramid and a matrix? Or do you use "pyramid scheme" to just mean "scheme?"

> isn't a pyramid scheme

BitConnect was an actual Ponzi scheme. I don't see how buying my coffee with DOGE counts as a "predatory investment opportunity."

Has anything else changed since the early 90s that might make ransomware more profitable today than 30 years ago?

Cryptolocker is estimated to have "only" cost its victims millions. However, cryptocurrency already existed when it was released.

And ransomware was making a LOT of money before crypto, so we can't blame crypto for it. Magnitude matters.

Some kind of permissionless transactions on a decentralized ledger? I don't think the technology exists.
