If I wanted only apps signed by developers I'd use Playstore.

Qualcomm main business is mobile phone chips and 5g modems.

Majority of it's revenue goes to Taiwan for TSMC as margins.

Having Intel fab, will cut the middle man, and revenue will skyrocket, all while no money leaves the USA.

I reduced my google search engine usage by 90%

Just Option+Space and get the answer with ChatGPT for MacOS.

No ads, no nonsense, just the answer.

There goes their almost $13B investment down the drain.

Both masterminds of ChatGPT have left the company.

Feels like Nokia 2.0

No, there will be 3rd party App stores (approved by EU) where developers can release their Apps.

I'm pretty sure one of the first app stores we'll see is Meta App Store.

The deliberate delay in releasing the Threads app in the EU, without any clear reason, makes me believe that they intend to make it an exclusive offering of the Meta store.

It's absolutely good, have you tried their Claude 2 AI?
Varloom

That means all the work they did on their own AI has failed. So they are buying someone else's AI.

Agreed, generic ARM cores are weak. The solution is to go custom like Apple did and soon Qualcomm with Oryon Cores.

Just use Yandex, it wild wild west over there.

With Encrypted Client Hello being rolled out (default on Firefox, optional on chrome/edge with Cloudflare DNS). ISPs can't technically block any website anymore.

They used to block DNS requests, then when secure DNS rolled out, they targeted SNI requests.

But with ECH there is nothing to block except the ip address, which is dynamic and doesn't even belong to the website if it was hosted on a CDN.

Just tried it, so good and fast.

Almost everyone is moving to N3 from N4 (not N5), the performance jump is not as impressive as the numbers which are based on N5->N3.

Do you honestly expect that they would admit it and face millions of lawsuits ?

Meta is switching to RISC-V

Softbank are dumping their shares in ARM while at peak valuation, before RISC-V eats its market share (they saw it coming, that's why they are rushing to IPO before rise of RISC-V).

Most big ARM clients are dumping ARM for RISC-V.

Including, Qualcomm:

Google (Converting whole Android system to support RISC-V):

And Samsung :

When you want to invest look for the underdog, not a company that has it's market share ready to be eaten alive by RISC-V in the coming 5-10 years.

By May 2024 every iPhone in EU will be allowed to install alternative app stores legally.

It's only a problem for the rest of the world.
