Very informative read. It seems that Indian workers are slowly adopting the Chinese ruthless work ethics, albeit with pushback from local unions & labor advocates. It's obvious that the western population wouldn't tolerate these working conditions, and I share that sentiment coming from a country similar to India. That being said, despite the grueling conditions, people in the developing world will still take these jobs, simply because their standard of living is so low, that even the most exploitative employment would bring about a massive improvement to their own predicaments. IMHO, reshoring would only happen if developed western countries are willing to implement protection measures like tariff on these overseas factories. Which obviously isn't gonna happen anytime soon.
