The problem that I see with this paper is that it does not address congestion at all which is very hard to do with RoCE. The NIC congestion control algorithm is very simple and is not able to deal with congestion resulting from multiple flows colliding.

At my uni this is a course in the first semester, called introduction to operating systems, covering command line, git, encryption, bash and all that.
