Sorry for my absolutely delayed reply, but it lets you see the top comments in addition to the story, so that you can get the gist of what's going on without having to click into every story.
Perhaps wide and flatter to allow for easy access, and up higher in the engine bay? As to “why don’t we have that” - I think that by doing that you’d throw off the center of gravity, because an engine is made out of heavy strong metal to withstand the pressures it generates.
Haha you are not alone as I do the same on an old CRM for non-profits. I'm thinking about going back to school to gain the missing math and science I need to get myself to a more challenging job. Boring business software just ain't fun. But it pays :)
Not using OpenBSD, but I'm running PopOS! after years on MacOs on a non-descript Walmart laptop. I was able to remove the branding on this one, so it's just some silver laptop on the outside. I was able to upgrade to 16gb of Ram and 1.5TB HDD for right at about $600 all together. I also have big USB ports, rj45, hdmi and a microSd reader. I can't complain. Things are fast and snappy and battery life is great. I was familiar with Linux before this, but this full plunge I took earlier this year has been awesome.
One thing I do miss is the Notes app since I could use it on my phone, but they can be accessed via the web.
I do want to do some integrations with them as well. Do you mean why not just use those instead? I would say because with this app you have control over a recognizable url, and these resume pages are mobile friendly, so someone can digest your resume quicker than trying to zoom in and out on their phone or computer.
I created this because I think resumes can be cumbersome to edit and pass around with all the various formatting out there, so I wanted to modernize them and put them online. Any feedback is appreciated! I hope to add some templates, the ability to create cover letters, and have different versions of resumes in the near future.
