Luckily she didn't do COBOL or PL/I, or she would be fixing stuff 24/7. For me it was more copying others and don't try to come up with a better/more clever solution for something every single time. Sometimes the current solution is just good enough.

I have, once. IBM does exactly that for z/OS (with the exeption that you can share patches). This is of course a whole other level of software and price tag.

Stalking is illegal in every EU country, camera's need a permit and the customer tracking needs an opt-in in most countries or is just illegal

Hi maker here!

The news about Polestar accepting art as a payment option for its Polestar 1 (see https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=27502889), got me thinking if it would be cool to see this for lower scale merchants as well.

The high level idea is to make a Stripe like API to redirect the customer to a validation platform. If the work is accepted, have it shipped to my company who buys it from the merchant.

As I set the upper limit much much much lower, there will be less need for verification.

The only big hurdle I can see so far, is the physical shipment of the art.

If you have any questions, shoot.
