very insightful. the speed of the whole system is limited by the slowest part. coding might have gotten faster, but everything around it still takes time.
i called out a big account (top 1% commenter) for promoting a product and got downvoted to a point where i had to delete the comment. wouldn't be wrong to assume this pattern happpens all over reddit.
Codex is terrible at frontend. I gave it an existing repo and asked it to take the ui styling and patterns from there, but it still created that classic vibe coded look (even though I had defined everything in the other repo).
Claude does it perfectly. (Claude/design is obviously suprerior to claude code & codex)
i started with vs ode, then quickly switched to antigravity and felt it was so much less bloated than vscode.
then i tried zed, and i've never looked back. i don't think i've "loved" a software product this much. it looks super clean and so intentional.

i bet there will be a huge group of developers looking up to zed as a quality benchmark. i certainly am.
