if we are in a position where civilian targets are getting bombed we have other problems. not mention in said "war" if we are reliant on green energy we will certainly lose to whoever bombed our power plants.
I'm sure the disinformation and hate speech is about steel dossier and all the mean things said about Trump supporters. Or do you mean they prioritized profits over censorship?
how about instead of "no more app stores" you and others with your interest go make more app stores. more is better. if you have a good product you will gain the leverage you need.
exactly, they are proud to tell you they block videos that are "problematic" from being recommended. But problematic to whom or what is not described. As this would surely reveal their bias in their algorithms. And also who our overlords are.
climate change has become a loaded ambiguous term. most people are running with worse apocalyptic notions of it because it suits whatever agenda. there have been various climate related predictions that have turned out to be hyperbolic and easy to adapt around for all species involved. humans have had to adapt to the changing planet for 10 thousands years. this will never stop no matter how much regulation or how much authoritarian governance returns us to some type of bronze age indigenous state. and the reality is countries like china aren't playing ball with these demonstrations of subservience to the progressive ideals. they will continue to innovate and build while we deconstruct ourselves over something we have no control over.
The things that jumps out to me is how statistics and studies like this shape the larger cultural discussions, legal discussions, and public policy discussions. It really shows how data can be munged, cherry picked, and altered to fit any narrative you want to send. Luckily over time scientific method should correct this but these can do serious damage in the short term.
As someone who uses both android and iphone I don't see a problem with this. I find that there are many horrible apps to wade through with differing UI experiences and quality on android it ends up being very clunky jumping from app to app. However, I find the apple ecosystem a bit more regulated to ensure you get an elegant and consistent experience. For the average user, I think thats what they want.
Yeah tech is definitely a semantics and buzz word race, but at the end of the day if you see SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering in your title understand you are moving into an organization that has the expectation that running production workloads/systems should require minimal human interaction, scale horizontally, and be resilient to failure/disaster. Sometimes you are siloed to SRE work. Sometimes to Platform or DevOps work as defined by your leaders. Or Sometimes you wear all three hats. Its completely situational but more than likely you will have a role in automating away problems that improve stability, increase visibility, and reduce manual interventions on the production systems.
The same sore of redundant and interchangeable titles exists for software engineers.
I think the point was that using Turbo tax isn't an obligation. So criticizing something for not being free but charging for your own content seems hypocritical. You could use another tax service or file via mail. Seems to be a lot of choices here: https://apps.irs.gov/app/freeFile/browse-all-offers
