I have an impression that you miss to set expectations about what trendhacker.news really is. I look at it and I see a mixture of topics which have very little in common - e.g. books recommended by Bill Gates, next to it an information about pharmacy franchise company bought by another company - i.e. non-tech information followed with some military information. Are you just randomly extracting info from HN and putting a picture to it?
Could you please shed some light (and consider putting a one-liner somewhere to the top of the page) what to expect from trendhacker.news?
I like the design and the price is affordable from my perspective. I got into the checkout-phase and I was surprised to see free shipping to Slovakia, Europe. Is that really the case? :)
+1 for option to try it out without email sign-up. I hate it to sign-up everywhere (for trial access as well) with my emails. I went directly with this option.
I haven't heard about the pomodoro concept, but it sounds interesting and I definitely want to try it out. Your app looks like a nice way to start.
I feel there's still some work on the design part to be done as currently it looks very "plain".
What are the options - novice, intermediate, advanced in the settings? Also, how much does your service cost?
Definitely an interesting concept. It works well on mobile (better than on desktop from my perspective).
What are the categories of places that appear in the list? Is there any dynamics in the list? How often is the list re-created? It's not fully clear to me what items appear in your list. Can we also expect to see future events (like concerts tonight, gallery expositions,...)?
Is is possible to see/filter from categories? It would be great to add more cities to the list. I'd love to have this in Europe!
Do I understand right that this is an agregator for local online marketplaces (facebook marketplace, letgo...)?
What's meant by one-time transaction fee "-5.25%"? Does it mean that you give some discount? To whom? To seller or to the buyer?
Are you limited to any regions (US/EU/...?)
I tried to log-in using my facebook account (as a buyer, then also as a seller), but the login process was stuck for more than a minute before I cancelled it.
I don't really get what's the added value of your service. Is it that you arrange the delivery for items that are meant to be picked-up locally?
Very good idea. Usually the way I choose movies is that I (on IMDB) read the plot, then ratings, afterwards the category and finally eventually reviews/comments.
Any chance to add the other information to the list as well? It would be interesting to list the movies by categories as I tend to skip 'romance' :)
Also, I like the minimalist design of the website. I think it suits well the purpose.
Nice presentation page, but it doesn't explain how does this work. It says I can host my own podcasts. What exactly is meant by that? I can host podcast on a hard-drive on a machine with public IP. Or I can host the podcasts on AWS S3. What's the added value of your tool?
What's the architecture of your solution? What are the benefits? I can look into the source myself, but if the tool is meant for an average audio-blogger who is not a SW developer (who would look into github and try to understand what this is by reading the source), then I guess you need to share more info on this matter. Is this command-line only? If this has a GUI, any chance to see some screenshots? Does this allow streaming? If so, how? Does this tool come bundled with a web-server?
From my perspective if you want people to try this out a little you need to set some (positive) expectations.
The missing part from my perspective is an information about what to expect on your site, e.g. "this site aggregates information for people with allergies and organizes it into the following categories:..."
Thanks for sharing. This looks really good. Any chance to add a custom resolution to the list? Also thanks for the ability to have first 5 sites free of charge.
Also, 30 mins have passed and I haven't received any reply :)
I see this is a resource manager, but looking closer - just human resource, correct?
I click on "see how it works" and the information I get is very brief. Did I understand right that the staff will have an app and they will either interactively click or put it into calendar when exactly they are available?
Usually I'm free when my calendar is free (and my colleagues can see that). If I want to block some time for my work or for a meeting that I'm about to attend, then I put it to the calendar. It looks like you do the same, just in a inverted way. Could you please shed some light if there's any added value compared to the traditional outlook/google calendar approach?
The information that this is a multi-city flight finder you could put on the website directly. I opened several tabs from HN at once, then going through them and looking at this one - like what is this for?
It took me a while to see that the airport is the departing airport. Why is Vienna missing (when you have other smaller airports in the list)? And nothing has been found for MUC on 29Nov17 :(
Perhaps you could shed some light on how this works and where you source the information from.
First of all - thank you for putting together the site with the aim to ease the pain and avoid the risk of loosing life that allergy might cause.
I look at your website for like 10 seconds and I don't understand it. I see there are some categories (of information perhaps?). I'm curious to see what's under "Governments". Is this some conspiracy information? I click to find out. Ok, I see, there's a link to a UK agency that deals with allergies in some way.
A similar confusion there is when looking at other categories. Is this some dictionary for allergic people? Are you aggregating news from the research of allergies? Is there some user forum for people who have allergies?
There's a nice TED talk - What, Why and How you might want to look at:
https://www.ted.com/talks/simon_sinek_how_great_leaders_insp...
On your website you revealed 'What' (you want to help by building the site), 'Why' (you suffer from allergy yourself), but to me it's not clear 'How' the site should help people.
I don't want to sound negative. Please keep up the work, I guess there's a demand for the information you want to provide, but in order to increase the value of the site and increase its reach, please think about how to improve it.
The first impression I had was that you provide SME businesses a team that would assist in recruiting. Then I've read further and I understood that you are promoting tools for recruiters. But could you be more specific?
I've worked as a technical recruiter for a start-up where we tried 2-3 tools (I forgot the names already), so I have a basic idea what's offered on the market. I don't understand though what do you offer. There's no screenshot, no list of features, nothing that identifies you or sets your product apart from the market.
I think the info you provide on the website is not sufficient to raise my interest.
After I read the first few sentences I thought this could be the tool I want to start using right now.
From the main page I got an idea that the tool is about sport events and rich notification system (in case of reminders and reschedules I assume). I have moved recently and I'm looking for hobby groups that occasionally meet and play sports like soccer or basketball. Is this something Klublr could help me with? Is it possible to list events publicly there?
My Facebook login failed with exceptions and some SQL codes. The chat support window comes in non-English language, while the rest of the page is in English.
Good job. I can imagine giving you a web-design job. I have no idea what this would be worth though. I wouldn't be paying much more than $300 if I was a start-up. If you want to check how much this could be worth - ask that on upwork for example. Post a job and wait for the reply from the random set of UI designers, ask for quote and check their portfolio to get an idea how good and expensive they are.
I was never too much into Reddit. But I liked Geeki. I'd prefer to fine-tune categories and I can imagine way more programming and IT pro categories myself.
