Their tui is quite heavy and crashing quite often as compared to claude code.

Atleast the UI looks nice. But I'm having trouble navigating it.

I am not sure if softwares are launched this way anymore.

It is supposed to be a sandbox that you can invoke from agent, langchains of the world, coding agents etc.

I dont think it is okay. If you spending 8-12h per week then you it needs to mean something. If you dont care, you are throwing away majority of your life without meaning.

I think I have seen the transition. Google, facebook, et al genuine believed they were changing the world unless they became seen as evil big corp.

Then came the techbro, true nerds doing nerdy stuff got lost among the noise techbros created.

You can start by paying maintainers really really well.

I think you are missing the point. I think the software business has become undesirable for VC investment. I am seeing that in the market from the otherside. People think there is no moat. Which I absolutely disagree but yea.

VC invest is same as buying a house. Someone has valued your house is worth x, thats why it is valued at x. There were people willing to invest at 1B valuation now they are not. Market has moved. Imagine, if the area where you bought the house, suddenly is not desirable or theres no one willing to pay for it, then value of your house will go down, in some scenarios to zero. It is as simple as that.

Reminds me of the recent Terminal Bench controversy [1][2][3]

If theres a benchmark, people will cheat, lie and optimize for that benchmark. Honest depends on the compliance enforced on teams. But if, compliance itself is weak, it is going to be taken advantage of. Like growing up india, you would optimize for the exam and not what you learn from it.

PostgreSQL is good enough until it's not good enough, when you realize all the bad design decisions that were made before it hits scale. It is the decisions people make around not partitioning, HA, replication that makes it not good enough.

> And every time you use the AI to be ingenious or creative, that will be added to the training data That's part of evolution.

We as humans have always outsmarted the tools.

I think AI is powertool. Period. If you give it to people who are skill, it will create a mess.

I think democratization of intelligence is going to be interesting. You could say the same with same about internet. I think it is part of evolution. May be intelligence or expertise is what does not make us special. May be it is that we are ingenious amd creative with tools and thats how we evolve.

> Haystack collects anonymous usage statistics of pipeline components. We receive an event every time these components are initialized. This way, we know which components are most relevant to our community.

For an EU based company, this stands out.

Folks commenting on Hacker News are acting how VC investors are acting in the market now. Everything is doom and gloom for anything that is software.

Oh claude can do this, claude can do that. It is written by claude oh it is of no value.

No. Creativity matters. Originality matters. Serendipity matters. Execution can use claude, but it is does not displace value.
