What makes you think it will only be used against criminals?

Not since Twitter introduced Spaces. Which seems to have killed Clubhouse.

Oh wow, even the year checks out.

So all the while, for almost two years, Virgin didn't do squat about this. Gives me flashbacks to some of our disclosure interactions with PayPal and others.

Wonder why issues like this are so common - do they just de-prioritize vulnerabilities reported by researchers to death?

Does anyone know whether the spyware mentioned is anyhow related to Project Pegasus[1? It's also really interesting that Apple patched Security issues for iOS that was targeted by NSO Group and makes me wonder if that might be the same vulnerabilities exploited by the UAE hacker for higher company [2]. From this article: https://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2018/08/16/silk-road-founde...

"his family opened a Twitter account for him in June, and they’ve been posting his tweets ever since."

Elon has become the crypto maker or breaker. A single tweet of his can add billions of dollars to a coin's market cap. Incredibly powerful

But there's a problem for me -- how do you prove that this particular comment has validity? It's Reddit -- you can shitpost whenever you want. Trolls run rampant. It'd be easy for WSB mods to simply state that all those comments/examples that the SEC is presenting are just trolls and has nothing to do with WSB. A Reddit forum is far too loose to be accused of any coordination.

Edit: typos

For some people, politics isn't a choice, a luxury, an option to discuss or not, just because of the breadth and width of what politics means. T

Even then, there'd probably be a better time for a politics detox week than the current week, since it will be so impossibly difficult to not discuss the goings on. I mean, these are historic times (in the US, with international repercussions).

He might have been joking, but I think most people would be interested in it

Fewer black/POC in tech, you get the AI/facial recognition problems we have today.

Tech created by white folk, who bring in their own biases, will lead to problematic tech. It's a difficult pill to swallow, but it exists.

This comments seems so strange to me. I don't see the connection here, or why the population in general would follow this.

Tech people, sure. Silicon Valley, sure. But...I mean. Connection here?

She was "resignated"

In normal situations, they would've discussed her conditions with her, and told her that they couldn't accommodate it. When people resign, they normally give two weeks+ notice. She was on vacation, and wasn't even aware that they'd "accepted" her resignation, effective immediately.

A rose by any other name...

It seems that they're direct depositing it into the same account you got your check last time (at least for me)

Thanks for the answer. So how do you use Pinterest? If I understood correctly, you've been only using Google as normal, and seeing Pinterest results, and that's the only interaction you've had with Pinterest?

Is this for mobile data, or are we talking about his home internet?

great discussion between these two. Baldwin always had such a peaceful but powerful manner

my favorite baldwin speech so far is the one he gave at Berkeley in 1979: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnh0pxOTvh8

Edit: fixed typo

I don't think that's what it said. It's not a recommendation, just a summary: 1% do it now, but 90% would do it if they had the chance.

so there has been an uptick in demand from the community. Covid has blown up the hobby in terms of size, as many more people have joined this year. and group buys are sold out in seconds (some to flip it for 300% the price, others who actually love/want the board)

Very true. One of the creators I interviewed - the Nemui - told me it took him about a year to create just the design. Figure in the prototyping, IC, and group buy stages, and then quality checks after the boards have been sent, then shipping them out, it can take 2-3 years from creation to completion (where the customer has it in their hands), and like you said 6-12+ months from ordering the board to having it as a customer.

But that's on the higher end, the "good" stuff. Lots of kits available now that can be assembled at home, or even pre-assembled.
