The truth is that intellectualy the USA is an underdeveloped country. Once the uninformed (which is probably half the ooplulation) got access to a megaphone, they’ve drowned the conversation and were able to legitimize a candidate such as trump, which we believed can only get elected in countries featured in Ali G movies. The mentality in Alabama and other states in the south is not that different (to mean enlightened) than many places the west assumes are backwards. The only difference is the language they speak and the false messiah they follow.

Fascinating how much statistical information you’ve managed just by meeting this single “nice Syrian”... and how strange that Germans that were born in Germany to parents who immigrated from Turkey are “Germans”.

Reminds me of the good old “Der Stürmer days, and the stories there about people like my grandparents. Nothing much has changed but this wave of “nostalgia” is so heart warming.

I live in Switzerland and know many Syrians and Lebanese. Beautiful, warm and hardworking people without exception. There are criminals and misfits in every society and their origins is less important, only emphasized according to the reporter’s agenda.

Nothing wrong with that, only no need to pretend. Whatever the Eastern European jewery is/was, is mostly a hated group with its origins never fully understood.

What does a Russian or Eastern European jew has to do with a group of people from the Middle East?

They don’t “look the part” ie “Jewish”, and very likely that even if they do descend from Jews, they’ve assimilated to a degree which makes their origin completely anacdothal.

Countries in decline develop/adopt vicious , suspicious, irrational and self damaging policies. I find it funny it funny that the USA's solution for dealing with its diminishing influence and decline in productivity is to look back. Maybe a 3rd world war will help their economy again and recover the industries that supported the expansion o the middle class and the progpanda of the so called "American dream"? Maybe return to slavery?

That's what you get when a country begins to believe its own propaganda created by Hollywood about it's exceptionalism and might. In reality it's a borderline failed country (which calls itself by the name of the continent which it's part of), who failed in any war and military engagement. The difference between Christian and Muslim fanaticism, is non existent: especially violence toward its own citizens - and the more drumpfizm will linger the more evident it'll be. It all starts with basic education - which most citizens of the USA don't seem to have access to, lack of exposure to the wide world, outrageous coltural poverty and complete lack of awareness. It's not charming. It's deadly.

I still find it hilarious that we were forced to learn about the American constitution in first year political science. If anything, USA's past, and present, are stories of complete failure of decency and democracy.

From Iran's Mozadek to Cuba*, the world would have been freer and more democratic without USA interventionism and global terrorism. Especially considering USA media is refusing to acknowledge Castro reached out and was rejected by the administration of the time. The crimes USA has committed against freedom around the world, so to gurnetee access to oil and resources throughouh corrupt richt wing gouvernement are scary.

No matter how you feel about being looked down at, educated people don't typically make disinformation or harmful decisions which may have such profound implications for them. Parts Of the USA qualify as a developing country in many ways, not just the low income. It is so profoundly stupid and misinformed it's difficult to imagine they have a majoritie to vote in someone even more stupid them Bush.

What a sad and pathetic excuse for discrimination based on culture and values. You're not only generalizing you seem to be in denial. Pay a visit to any popular vacation holiday in Spain or Portugal and test for yourself who are the loud, abnocious and ugly Europeans. We are doing our best to avoid any concentration of brits, Germans and Dutch on our holidays for the exact reason. We recently bought a house in Spain in a place we made sure was not popular with either, for this particular reason. Will be happy to share with you photos of ugly drunken Germans in mas lpalomas, loud and voulgar brits in Barcelona and Ibiza, a city which is struggling to contain this problem, which is mostly due to British visitors, or all of them in place like el Garf. You might want to discriminate based on money, but like the Russians are teaching us, no amount of money in the world can help hide voulgarity. Drumpf btw is of German extract. I'm sure you'll enjoy your company and will probably deserve it.

Same goes to many parts of the USA. Many of these populations are probably Drumpf voters. Many never had a passport issue and believe the US is the "greatest nation on earth". Many don't speak a second language, not sure exactly where the countries their own country invaded are located, or even which people they've destroyed and exterminated when Europeans first invaded North America.

Drumpf is like AIDS. Like with AIDS, Drumpf's presence in the media will force the public, I hope, to confront racism, in the way AIDS forced everyone to start talking more frankly about sex.

Drumpf's neo-nazi following (and the media didn't really delve into his father's alleged membership in the KKK) will force everyone to acknowledge what are the confederation flag, a celtic cross, or "88" and "14" tattoos.

It's a wake up call, and it's better late than never. I hope that the international community will boycot a Drumpf regime, and the Americans will wake up from this nightmare scenario and revolt their way back to civilization.
