$333/week doesn’t quite seem like enough to live on. How many of these are you planning to run concurrently?

Name some other groundbreaking medical equipment that was brought about by VC funding, please.

Or maybe, because it's not really useful for much.

It's a Theranos situation.

>>That ambition is very positive to me.

...and this is why people fall for it. Every. Single. Time.

Literally everything they're saying is marketingslop gobbledegook. No studies, no papers, no doctors; just "500k transducers," and "30fps!" Anyone can wire that up. With a little cash, you might even be able to stream, record, and proccess it. Still means absolute diddly squat if you haven't compared it to other imaging or figured out how to train a radiologist to use it effectively or done trials for specific diagnostics or diseases.

They'll figure out if it does anything other than show you an animated cartoon xray of yourself later. After they have your money.

I actively avoid products that are advertised to me. It’s an easy shortcut to “Tell me your shit sucks without telling me your shit sucks.” I honestly don’t understand the type of advertising that does not seek to inform, but rather annoy you into buying the product. Has never made any sense to me at all.

Are you drunk? He’s lucky Google and Amazon haven’t noticed yet. If he wants to keep access to his accounts he should pull them down immediately and distribute via torrent.

Qou Bono?

Sure is strangely coincidental that the specific delusion that is induced ends up manifesting as: “Gee, I should start a company that pays OpenAI for the use of their clearly superior software.”

4 Stars. Go home and tell your mother you're brilliant.

Yet Another Major Release in which the texturing system has remained unchanged since V1 and isolated from the nodes system.

Oh well.

Not saying it’s not interesting, I’m saying there miiiiight be a malicious reason someone would buy an old domain, wear the skin of its former owner, post “viral” content, and then submit that content to a popular link aggregator.

And no one here seems to have noticed.

1) what is this doing on hackernews?

2) Vice filed for backruptcy in 2023 and shuttered vice.com in 2024. Who the hell is running this?

3) Whoever it is, is just ripping off rando Polish local news sites?

I have no idea what’s going on here, but maaaaaybe this should not be here.

An extra clever system would include every temperature controlled appliance in the house. Heat could be exchanged between the hvac, water heater, refrigerator, and oven.

When the oven is done cooking it can dump heat into the water heater (and or furnace in the winter). The fridge and HVAC could dump heat into the water heater before pumping it outside in the summer.
