> My blog genuinely is a day job now, I make enough from the (unobtrusive, cookie-free) sponsorship banner

Posting his links and engaging in the discussions is his main job. This is spam, even if you like it - because most people don't want to see one person posting their links on every AI discussion, ranked at the top just because among hundreds of thousands of people reading HN, some thousands are not annoyed by seeing his blog links in every post.

OpenAI and Anthropic combined have less than 10% of Google revenue.

Yes, I'm talking about advertising (or marketing budget, from most companies, going to advertising and not websites and apps).

Most of the money that used to go to software is going straight to Google and Meta. The well has run dry.

Didn't Elon Musk said the same or even worse about BYD? He isn't laughing anymore tho.

if you are writing things to get blessed by votes, your incentive might be in the wrong place to begin with.

As an example, my point that it is fine to downvote for disagreement got a few downvotes. Ironic, no?
brazukadev

that is exactly why downvote exist.

do you think your current operation and niche is so optimized that not using Fable would put you out of business? Or is this a hope that using Fable will allow you to stay in business?

don't post slop then. If AI is noticeable, it is AI slop.

Why? VDOM is slow and not needed.

You can delegate architecture to agents, as long as you know different architectures and decide which one is the most fit for a given scenario. AI can choose one but it will usually pick the one that is more present in the training corpus.

React + NextJS is a terrible architectural decision for most projects that LLMs recommend all the time.

You didn't say "trying to change your habits" don't work. You said changing habits don't work. This is false, harmful and wildly unethical.
brazukadev

changing habits do have lasting effects, I'm not part of this "we" that doesn't know that.

> You don't get withdrawal symptoms.

People definitely get withdrawal symptoms when they try to quit social media. So much that they often get back.

> Not going to get cancer or other illness from it.

they will get and accelerate many illnesses being sedentary.

I use web apps all the time but mainly the ones I create myself

> The numbers are great: 194 impressions, 6 clicks, but zero conversions

that's a wrong mindset, the numbers are terrible. If you invested 10x more you would lose 10x more money. It would only start to be good if it had at least one conversion.

Which might indicate that you don't have a good product.

you got your answer already. Nobody actually uses Grok.

it is actually very ironic. You can manually commit your code to easily hide you had a co-author.
