Agreed, Europeans should do more to stand on their feet without the US. Imo thats more unity but as the EU is basically non existent in this crisis i am afraid the opposite will happen.
Lets just hope the US wont invade some country or start a war somewhere as a result of this virus. Quite the possibility given whom the Americans chose to represent them.

may be a conspiracy theory, but as the uk gov is injecting only 30 bil in the economy while germany is injecting 600 billion shows the uk is financially in a weak position. if the country stops working the economy is bust. the uk _needs_ to be ahead of europe to stay afloat, so that these measures as a state of war, in which economic sovereignty can be lost unless some people die on the battle front.
after this cov thing has surfaced the many, many, many issues the us has, i realise that europeans may not have the same kind of startups, or glory, but instead we have our health and systems to rely on. stay safe and let us know if you need help, as your government and president have failed.
the day the us needs aid from foreign countries has come. i pray for the many poor in that country that lack access to even basic healthcare. let us know where we can donate money to help american families in need, and pray the us wont invade another country to fight the virus.
I know and i agree - seems like the us government doesnt care about the hard life of us soldiers, since it ignores the struggle of so many veterans. I am ok, Europe we have universal healthcare, and we dont need the “military” to take steps in that regard, nor do we elect idiots like trump in power to tel us fake scientific facts. A sad state of affairs. Also cant help but wonder - the us army constantly brags about bio warfare. It had a good few months advance notice about this virus. What has it done in preparation? Other than stacking bullets to “isolate” areas.
See, competent governments dont need the army for medical supplies. Also it appears the US army is not prepared at all. Lack of tests, late response, a commander in chief ignorant of the problem. The US army is indeed prepared for securing an area that i am sure of. Pointing weapons is not particularly difficult. Perhaps it is time to reflect over what is marketing and what is real about the army? I hope i am wrong but from where i stand the us army is sheer numbers of people and bullets and loads and loads of pr.
With all due respect - does anyone believe the US army can deal with a pandemic? I mean you cant just shoot a huge number of weapons and kill it. That army hasn’t even been able to win wars against tribes, how can it win against a virus? I get it, there is a lot of PR surrounding it, but a pandemic is a real issue that requires science not dumb muscle. Somehow I believe the US and its army are the opposite of a solution to such an issue.
that’s right - don't ban the uk where many people have traveled from italy and the rest of the world unhindered. because the virus cares about politics and trump’s shenanigans. folks in the us - i really hope everyone poor and rich gets treatment when necessary, for free.
