The silicon valley TV show even had episodes on this! Man I miss that show. They'd have so much funny material nowadays if they came back.

I think it was Anthony Bourdain who said pretty accurately that it's far safer to eat street food than restaurant food as street food is freshly cooked, hot and instantly sold while restaurant food might be sitting in a broken fridge over a weekend.

At least when it comes to bad types of porn, it's be similar to Imgur allowing anonymous uploads. They already do CSAM scanning on uploads to their R2 storage:

They say "EU availability is expected in mid-July". So next week or so.

> I’ve no idea at all how many views this site gets, but I’m willing to bet it’s not even double-digit humans per month.

I'd take that bet considering it's got close to thousand upvotes and on front page of HN

Was just reading something along those lines:

> We need to normalize declaring software as finished. Not everything needs continuous updates to function. In fact, a minority of software needs this. Most software works as it is written. The code does not run out of date. I want more projects that are actually just finished, without the need to be continuously mutated and complexified ad infinitum.

We don't need to know all the intricacies of how something happens behind the scenes. The actual task of how to do to it is very simple.

Something can be really simple, yet very hard. Like saving money or losing fat and building muscles.

There's two flagged comments on this post and both their history seem overly enthusiastic and curious. Maybe LLM?

Anyone know why the "sebarb" user at the bottom of this post has all their comments flagged?

I am gonna guess it's similar to torrenting and seeding?

A few hours ago, on another post, I had someone explain/teach me why another article may be written by LLM and they pointed out the "It's not X, it's Y" thing. Since I read that comment, I instantly picked that up in this post article too.

Maybe this is a dumb question but couldn't we ship the waste to another planet (of course once we have rockets capable of doing so but that's not far imo).
busymom0
·10 giorni fa·discuss
Couldn't that be simply because X has a much larger user base, so malicious parties focus there? Similar to how Linux and even Mac doesn't get as much viruses as windows.

Would you mind elaborating on what other tells the text had that it's written by AI?

The top comment only based off of one sentence which to me doesn't seem AI. And the author is saying in comments here that it's not AI.

I am genuinely curious as I'd like to update my brain on how to detect AI slop if that's the case here.

I swear I read this article 2 or 3 days ago and the comments on that post were also same as this post. Am I missing something here?
busymom0

Hmmmm, I didn't read that as AI. What gives?

For me, the swipe to go to home gesture on iOS very often conflicts with my swipe to go to all tabs in Safari.

If you don't have AC but do have a refrigerator, you can build a DIY AC using a box, bottles of frozen water and a fan. There's YouTube tutorials on how to do it.

I have friends who use it in their apartment which doesn't have AC and doesn't allow installation of one.
