Curious, have you ever heard of Boron-Nitride Nanotubes (BNNT)? Basically a new nanomaterial that is similar to carbon nanotubes except it has the rare property of being a high energy band-width semiconductor whilst having excellent thermal conductivity (basically solves problems 1. and 2.).
