I've been on a 3 year fixed rate mortgage here in the UK. The first 3 years are something like 1.8%, after that it goes up to something like 3.6%.
The idea is that you remortgage every three years at no extra cost, so you should be effectively paying that lower rate for the full term of your mortgage, that is unless the economy tanks and interest rates go through the roof...
I wonder if you could apply this to social media, but with outrage instead of funny?
It'd be a good exercise to look at an outrageous personality's tweets over the years and see if the same thing happens as they slowly adapt to realising that saying worse stuff gets more attention.
So am I right in thinking that this is a major step towards quantum computing?

I'm not exclusively looking for part time. I think part of looking for another job is that I can get better treatment elsewhere and more pay (I think so at least). So I think it makes sense to move on. But as you say, it's just the how...
I don't think I have properly considered it. Maybe I've just had a bit of baby brain for the last year or so and I haven't completely kept up with things.

I saw a murder of crows hunting a pigeon in Russell Square a few years ago. They were swooping down and trying to tear bits off while the bird was still alive, so that particular term does seem to be justified.
As a counterpoint I have come across lots of software that is only developed for one platform and unfortunately I haven't been able to use it.
Sometimes the difference between a 3mb or 300mb install file is worth it if it means that the software is available to more users. In that sense it can be in the user's interest.
Surely one issue with the example of a lightless room (or cave, or trench) is that there is no contrast and no image, just one default colour. The minute you add a light that gives you any kind of contrast you will in the majority of cases get reflections which will make most of the dark areas not completely black.
