>The survey, now in its fifth year, polled more than 5,000 consumers who make at least two online purchases in a three-month period. According to results, shoppers now make 51% of their purchases online, compared to 48% in 2015 and 47% in 2014.
1. They're only polling people who make online purchases.
Can someone explain what "selling web browsing and app usage data" really means?
I don't imagine they literally package sensitive information and distribute it to anyone who pays. In which case, "they sell your data" is completely misleading.
> In this case, manufacturers realized that it's more economical to manufacture in China than in the US so that's what they've been doing. Simple economics.
This is absolutely a good thing.
Why would you encourage inefficient trade?
Are Americans somehow more deserving of jobs than Chinese ones?
You rather bolster inefficient manufacturing processes and have Chinese workers/whole populace fucked so some more Americans can have better living standards?
I think pretty much everything is male dominated no?
Its not just corporate world. Sports, politics, business, war, etc.
>Secondly, movies are fictional worlds so they can represent whatever their creators choose them to represent. They could be representing more equally. They're not.
I don't think this is fair. Some movies are completely fictional, but most are set on reality in some way. And I bet that in those completely fictional films, the ratio is much closer.
>The newspaper reported that Facebook also has information on users who are discussing “looking good and body confidence” and “working out & losing weight”

Is that any different than an option to advertise to people who are talking about buying cars?
So were not allowed to give our concerns because ultimately they may not be correct?
Also, there's a ton of companies with a ton of knowledge who have done things which failed spectacularly or have refused to do things that would work. Tesla's whole existence is sentiment to that.
Is Musk immune to making such mistakes? The consensus on his Hyperloop idea still seems to be that is infeasible.
I know blind people wouldn't need one, but somehow the lack of it brings up the wow factor.
